This petition, and the comments I've read so far, focus on "Be not conformed to this world", and I agree with them. But as I watched episode one, I noticed there was also unbiblical content. Heaven and unfallen angels are portrayed in a state of confusion. There is a need for record keeping and fact gathering. For this purpose, there are interviews with both fallen and unfallen angels. Multiple languages are spoken. According to the Bible, all this confusion exists on earth as a result of sin. But Satan and his angels were cast out of heaven. Unfallen angels and heaven itself remain uncorrupted and uncursed. Even on earth, these aspects of the curse took thousands of years to manifest. There was no confusion of tongues until the Tower of Babel. The memory of human beings, even in their fallen state, was good enough that there was no need for a written record of the Word of God until the time of Moses. Yet, if we believe what we see on this show, we must conclude either that this confusion was normal even before sin, or that it was an immediate result of Satan's rebellion, affecting even unfallen angels and heaven itself. Neither of these conclusions can be biblical. So, not only does this project use faulty methods, but it also delivers a false message.

God's truth is not represented in this production. It is not even presented from the beginning as The Great Controversy. It simply builds upon the truth (prophecy) as something fantastic and other-worldly, presuming to attract those who don't know God to know God. This denies God, only because it is based primarily on man's interpretation. Pro 14:12 There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. 2Ti_3:5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. We need to look point blank at the face of our Lord Jesus Christ and turn exactly to the word of God, the Bible. This film only represents another semantic argument that defies the logic, truth, beauty and perfect government of God.

Your concerns are spot on! This message of yours needs to get out to the people of God. Sadly, the ones who will support you will likely be in the minority since the SDA church seems to be in the midst of the Omega apostasy at this time with the foolishness of all the Spiritual Formation issues, theistic evolution being taught in our schools, and the unbalanced concentration on women's ordination issues rather then taking the gospel to the world. Jesus never lowered His standards to reach the masses, but instead called them to raise theirs. We need to listen to the counsel we have (Biblical and SOP) and follow implicitly.

We need to stop this for the sake of our Lord, His church, our youth , children and Gods people as a whole.

This is the furthest thing from Christianity and should not be allowed to go any further. Please stop it.

On behalf of our church and the world who looks on and the truth found in the Spirit of Prophecy opposing not only theatrics and role playing but punk and star wars enacting and stating words not found in the Spirit of Prophecy. The faces, dress and demeanor of these actors is far from what God would approve. I sincerely appeal to the GC at large to please remove this film from public as well as church members and youth who are watching and listening to see and compare the worldly with holy, the truth with error, the evil with pure and last but not least the evaluations they will make to guide their lives because of this type of dark evangelism.

It's suspicious when I recognized some of the actors/actresses from the past had played roles in few movies or scenes that are secular, therefore leading to become more skepticals whether or not the cast members will be able to present message according to the truth.

I'm embarrassed to think that SDA's would be behind such a movie series. To share the gospel, we don't need to act like the world. Phil 4:8 still applies. We are called to walk a higher road…not being conformed to the world.

May the Lord's will be done in this very serious issue.

I guess I am wondering how this could possibly be a witness to anyone. I was disgusted by what I saw. Please cancel this work as it does not rightly represent God's true church. I am also flabbergasted what has been done to The Great Controversy, now called the "Great Hope". You can't take out all mention of Catholicism, since this has been the main part of The Great Controversy. Shame on you!! I am sure the Lord weeps when he sees what has been done to His Word and the Spirit of Prophecy.

SOP is clear on this point. Nothing of a theatrical nature is appropriate for witnessing. The Bible is clear that we should not partner with unbelievers in any endeavor, and that we should be in the world, not of it. This fictitious, worldly production does a major disservice to The Great Controversy, the SDA Church, and most of all to God.

Please prayerfully reconsider your position on The Record Keeper. As a young active committed Seventh-day Adventist, I am concerned that rather than being an effective evangelistic tool the Record Keeper will lead many, especially of our youth to become even more strongly addicted to media, and being so addicted they will no longer have any interest in Bible study, or in any spiritual things for that matter.
