I do not believe God would want us making a film program that mixed Sci-Fi with Prophetic teaching, it looks to me in the trailer that crystals are used as a way of recording events or power, that is completely against what Ellen G. White wrote about and against the Bible truth. Crystals are a means used by the occult and devil worshipers and never should be used or shown in any production of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Also why do we need film to enact what happens in the great controversy, when our own mind when we read her words will show us with Guidance of the Holy Spirit. I urge our church and its members to read your Bibles and Ellen G. Whites works, research for yourself and let the Holy Spirit guide you, do not watch man made films that can change and twist things.

Putting apart all the theological issues that can be found in the record keeper, I'm gonna talk only about unity. I don't think our beloved Church needs another reason to be divided. Yet, I was amazed by seeing how, without proper information, a large group of people created a facebook page to "save the record keeper" from the "angry folkd of the GC" (in the words of many TRK supporters), opposing directly an allegedly (later to be disproven true) rumor that they were cancelling it.
If the record keeper is supposed to help the Church, why is it causing so much division? It is supposed to be a tool from God, yet, most of the people who support it are willing to go totally contrary to a God ordained Church and to it's God ordained leaders, despite of the idea of what would God want.
Many, many people were clearly insulting and offending the Church and its leaders just because they thought the record keeper was being cancelled.
And yet, the GC communicated that they were happy to see all the support TRK was getting and that they were not cancelling it as it was told.
It made me wonder. Do you really think that the kind of support a God-driven tool would be the support of people showing attitudes so agains Christ and His teachings?
I really do believe that TRK is gonna be more harmful than anything else to our Church. I hope, and I pray that God shows you this.

Cancel the Recordkeeper.

It is not right to use church tithes and offerings for things like this. Had this been a separate self-supporting ministry, the petition would not be needed. But the Seventh-day Adventist Church should never misrepresent its own message.

I appreciate Pastor Lemuel Sapian taking the time to articulate very well the problems that arise from this type of production. I remember a time when (as a church) we didn't approve of having any form of drama in our churches or schools. While I think simple acting for the purpose of illustrating may be appropriate or helpful at times there is a greater danger than Pastor Lemuel hasn't touched upon... The actor must put himself/herself into the role as the person or entity they are representing and this has an intense effect upon them. I am not a doctor but I am a student of personalities and place a character into role playing an most humans will become what they pretend to be... Repeat the character often enough and eventually they actually think of themselves as this "Character"! The door is opened to many temptations from the enemy of souls... "Faith for Today" tried a TV mini-series years ago. With adventist christians pretending to be husband & wife, etc.

Just ask yourself this question: "Would you like to play the part of Judas Iscariot or Lucifer?"

We have inspired counsel regarding how we are to reach the hearts of people in these last days. Lets put our time, effort and money toward these methods.

We cannot express how shocked we were to view this Media production. Then to read about its opening function with a Friday night opening, with wine, Fancy dress and whatever else went on is so concerning. Our Church, from the top down is loosing the plot. How many more signs do we need that Jesus is coming soon. People rejecting God and doing whatever they want in the name of God! Please Stop! Please think! Please!
